Alhaja as the Speaker’s mum is fondly called will turn a year older in some days’ time but the the planned birthday bash is already setting tongues wagging in the social and political circles.
This medium was told by sources close to the Gbajabiamilas that plans are in top gear to celebrate Alhaja’s birthday in the United Arab Emirate.
Recall that the Speaker gifted his wife, Sala, an exotic G-Wagon on her 50th birthday which set him back around N100m, an act which drew him public backlash with many accusing him of corruption and expending his booty on frivolities.
It remains to be seen what reaction would trail his mother’s birthday when it is held as being planned.
