The Lagos State Police Command has revealed that a parcel of live ammunition was delivered to First Bank MD Oluwasegun Alebiosu, adding that it’s investigating the matter.
Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Tijani Fatai told newsmen this on Tuesday at the command headquarters.
Fatai narrated that on May 7, 2026, First Bank MD Oluwasegun Alebiosu received a parcel containing live ammunition at his Ikoyi residence.
The parcel which contains two rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition concealed in a package was brought by a dispatch rider and was collected by his security guards who in turn gave it to him, the police chief said.
He remarked that Alebiosu reported the matter to the police after discovering two rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition in a parcel collected on his behalf.
“The case is still under investigation, and we are treating it with the seriousness it deserves,” he added.
