Friends and associates of former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke, have disaffirmed rumours of her death in a London hospital.
A false rumour on Thursday spread online that the cancer afflicted ex-minister had died and her remains would be flown to Lagos on Saturday.
But in a live broadcast confirmation by Raypower FM from media personality and an acquaintance of the beleaguered Diezani, Dele Momodu, and monitored by our correspondent last night, the celebrated Ovation Magazine publisher denied the rumour.
Sam Piranty, a journalist with BBC Africa also claimed that Diezani’s lawyer confirmed that she is alive.
“Diezani lawyer Oscar Onwudiwe says he has spoken to her husband and #diezani is indeed alive,” he posted on Twitter.
