Friends mourn OAU Final year student who was stabbed to death

While police are working to apprehend the killer(s) of Ayoola Ayorinde a.k.a AYbillion, a final year student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, who was stabbed to death outside the school campus last Wednesday, bereaved friends of the deceased, a 400-level student of Dramatic Arts Department, are mourning his death on his Facebook page.

One Ayoola Ayorinde Akinkunmi wrote: “I can’t still believe you are gone for life, ohhhh death where is your sting!!!! You came to department yesterday, you talked ad laughd wit pple, nobody knows you were saying goodbye,omase ,what a great loss.. May ur soul rest in perfect peace”

Another Facebook user, Sadiat Bolaji Ogunbiyi said, “So pathetic …….May your soul find peace n comfort senior colleague we love you…….RIP” while one Abayomi Ridwan Makinde wrote, “Are you kidding me?! This guy should be amongst we fresh graduates na! Why person go die when he finish school, why not part 1, 2, we even did PD together, why not PD then!? Death, thy hands are too cold! ???? O gaooo…”

Narrating how Ayorinde was killed in an interview, the Head of Security, OAU Students’ Union, Seyi Iyiola said, “I was called to Seventh Day Adventist Hospital to come and see him. I was told he was coming back from his supervisor that day around 7.45pm with his brother that came here to sit for Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination”.

“The brother was at the front when two persons attacked him. After crossing his path, they collected his phone and stabbed him.”
