FRIENDS TAKE TO FACEBOOK TO MOURN NYSC DOCTOR WHO DIED OF LASSA FEVER

The death of Dr. Ogboji Kelechi, a fresh medical graduate, and a National Youth Service Corps member, who early in the week died of Lassa Fever after coming in contact with the disease through direct contact with infected patient has sparked an outpouring of grief from his devastated friends.

Dr. Kelechi hailed from Ebonyi State and was serving in Kaduna State at St Louis Hospital in Zonkwa.

Dozens of his friends have meanwhile taken to his Facebook page to leave their condolences.kelechi

Tovia Iduma wrote: “KC, u’ve subjected my heart into deep thoughts dis day. That i couldn’t wait, does nt mean i didn’t care . Death, y lay ur wicked hand on dis one? Too hard to say goodbye KC. WHT A WORLD!!!”

Facebook user, Iyanda Joshua, believed to be a childhood friend of the deceased revealed their long and close relationship.

He said, “Jesus these was not d plan Lord after we both suffer to become somebody in life. i remember when I was in 100 level at ebsu n he was in ss1. He always told me he will want to be a doctor n I told him he will be a doctor one day best doctor of our generation death death death am crying as am writing these. tears of sadness n unfulfilled destiny. if these is true kc I can’t challenge God.”

Another Facebook user, Joy Amuche Onah, who felt disappointed alleging that the late doctor did not tell his relations and associates when he fell sick took solace in God.

She said, “Kaycee y do u ve to leav us so soon,y did u kept us in d dark wen u were sick,dis character is nt of u but God knws y it happend dis way.wil foreva miss u kc.”

OrijoReporter gathered that Dr. Ogboji Kelechi’s remains will be laid to rest this weekend at Ikwo, his hometown in Ebonyi State.
