Super Eagles have won an estimated amount of N35m for defeating the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon 4-0 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, on Friday.

Hours before the match during a pep talk, the Youth and Sports Minister, Barrister Solomon Dalung, told the players that the team would receive N5m for every goal they scored.
Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel also promised 10,000 dollars for each goal scored by the Eagles, and with the four goals in the match, the players fetched themselves the sum of 40,000 dollars (approximately N15m).
Gov. Udom had already redeemed a 30,000 dollars he pledged for the tie against Algerian which the Eagles won 3-1 also in Uyo.
