Carl Ikeme may be down and fighting the battle of his life, the Nigerian international and Wolverhampton Wanderers goal tender, has however, not lost his sense of humour.

The 31-year-old, who is hospitalised for leukaemia treatment took to his twitter page to crack a joke on transfer deadline day in England tweeting, “BREAKING NEWS. Ikeme transfers from one room to another! Medical under way,”
Meanwhile Coach Gernot Rohr dedicated Super Eagles’ 4-0 drubbing of the Indomitable Lions to the ailing goalkeeper.
He said, “before the match we pledged to win it for Carl and that we delivered tonight.”
