Governor Rotimi Amaechi has commenced the tour of all the wards in the 23 local government areas of Rivers State.

The tour according to a statement signed by the State Commissioner of Information and Communications, Ibim Semenitari, was in furtherance of Gov. Amaechi-led government open policy.

Semenitari said the tour would avail the administration the opportunities to have a closer look at its projects, and see which other developmental projects the state would embark on in the wards.

The statement reads: “As we enter the last lap of our administration, it is imperative that we go round to see what governance gaps remain in our quest to guarantee the life of present and future generations.

“We are determined to finish strong and so we must cross the T’s and dot the I’s” Governor Amaechi said. The tour of the wards is expected to last for two months.

” This is a non partisan,  non political tour and we would want all parties, persons and interests to please join us in this critical interaction as we make our final push to complete our mandate and deliver on our promises to Rivers people.”
