The allegation that Umara, son of the Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, killed a Chinese has excited response from him.
The governor’s son said to be a student at a university in New Delhi, India, according to the scandal, stabbed a covetous Chinese national to death at an Indian nightclub for trying to snatch his lover.
The account was immediately denounced by the state government via a statement released by Abdurrahman Ahmed Bundi, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Zulum on New Media.
“The governor’s sons was either arrested or charged with any crime, or involved in any unlawful activities anywhere,” Bundi wrote in it.
Umara himself on Thursday in a video of him at the State Government House addressed the issue, saying nothing of such happened.
“Dear esteemed Nigerians, I am Umara Babagana Umara Zulum, I am here to address damaging falsehood that had been made against me.
“It has come to my notice, a baseless gossip accusation against me saying that I killed someone at nightclub. This is not true. They want to tarnish my father’s name. I have been with my family since two months now, right in Maiduguri,” he stated.
