About thirty women from Kiribo, Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State, the birthplace of convener of Revolution Now, Mr Omoyele Sowore, on Thursday stormed the Federal High Court in Abuja to protest the continued detention of the SaharaReporters publisher against the decision of the court.
The protest took place on the day and at the venue Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu ordered the Department of State Services (DSS) to release Sowore within 24 hours.
Multiple reports said the women were decked in white wrappers and bra but without tops and bore placards calling on the Department of State Service to abide by the court’s rule.
Justice Ojukwu, also awarded a N100, 000 fine against the DSS over its delay to serve the defence counsel with additional proof of evidence in the ongoing trial of Sowore and Olawale Bakare.
