Hausa Popular TikToker accused of Acts against Islam Remanded

Popular Hausa Tiktoker, Murja Ibrahim Kunya, in anti-Islam act trial has been remanded.

A council of Muslim scholars had petitioned the Police, and the Kano State Hisbah Corps against Kunya, alleging her of acts against Islamic teachings bordering on alleged indecencies, issuing threats, and releasing inciting videos.

The petitioners declared that the said acts tantamount to bad influence on her teeming fans.

A Kano State Sharia court sitting in Filin Hoki, Kano, on Thursday ordered the remand of the young lady.

Justice Abdullahi Halliru handed down the order on Kunya, and adjourned the matter to February 16th, 2023, for continuation of hearing.

The TikToker had pleaded not guilty to the charge.
