A judge has been killed in the line of duty.
He is Nnaemeka Ugboma, the chairman of Ejemekwuru Customary Court in the Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.
Ugboma was murdered in cold blood on Thursday by gunmen.
His killers rode on motorcycle(s) to the court where he was presiding over a case.
They drove him out of the session and opened fire on him, subsequently fleeing the scene on their bikes, as per report.
It added that the incident threw residents of Ejemekwuru community into panic, with many vacating their houses in fear that the killers may come after them.
The slain jurist, it was further gathered hailed from Nnebukwu community in Oguta LGA.
