Holsbeeck disclosed this to Belgian outlet hln.be saying Onyekuru was so close to pitch tent with the French side that he had medical before opting to join Everton on a five-year deal for a fee of £7m.
The coach said Anderlecht would have lost the 20-year-old to Antwerp if he had signed for PSG.
He said, “Henry Onyekuru was on his way to PSG, that would loan him out to Antwerp. He underwent a medical with PSG, before he signed with Everton, so we are so lucky to have him with us.”
Onyekuru last season scored 22 goals in 38 games for modest Belgian side Eupen.
