A housewife in Abuja has been arrested for inflicting serious injuries on her maid’s buttocks in an attempt to stop her from bed-wetting.
Mrs. Roseline Uzoamaka forced 14-year-old Sarah, (her burnt buttocks pictured) who is her husband’s younger sister’s daughter to sit on a burning electric cooker because she urinated on the bed while she was asleep.
Sarah’s bedwetting was said to have become a recurring incident, and the one of last Saturday at their residence at Gwarimpa infuriated Mrs. Uzoamaka to the point that she put her through gruesome torture by forcing her to sit on a burning electric cooker.
Sources said it was her husband who informed the police about the incident, and ensured she was arrested by the Dutsen Alhaji Police Division.
It was further gathered that Mrs. Uzoamaka explained to the police that it was one of her friends who told her that punishing Sarah in such way was used to treat bed-wetting in children
