The circumstances surrounding the kidnap of eight members of the the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, posted to Zamfara State has been shared.
The victims were abducted on Saturday on their way from Akwa-Ibom to Zamfara by road.
Report said the driver of the vehicle conveying them was killed while three of the corps members escaped the abduction.
“The corps members were offloaded (from the bus) and taken into the bush. The police have recovered the bus.
“They left here (Uyo) on Friday and slept over in Abuja. It was when they were proceeding to Sokoto that they were kidnapped,” a source in the employ of the transport company the ill-fated bus is in its fleet told Punchng.
