Report that broke the news of the passing away of legendary Nigerian singer and actress, Onyeka Onwenu, also contains how the 72-year-old died of suspected heart attack.
The Niche broke the news of the elegant stallion, saying she was confirmed dead on Tuesday at Reddington Hospital in Lagos where she was rushed to after slumping at the 80th birthday party of Emzor Pharmaceutical company owner, Stella Okoli, in which she performed.
Giving the fact of the incident obtained from an eyewitness, the publication said the deceased veteran singer slumped immediately after she took her seat on living the stage.
It added that another source pointed at heart attack as cause of the death of the former broadcasting journalist with NTA, and quoted the person as saying, “Apparently, she had a heart attack. The doctor has advised that the body should be kept until later this morning. It is unbelievable.”
