An unnamed man has been arrested for allegedly killing his wife in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos over food.
The incident happened precisely at Olota residence of the couple last Thursday
Report said, the killer husband had returned home from work expecting a certain meal but instead was offered noodles by the wife.
“The unmet expectation was not taken kindly to, and he took recourse to assault; beating her black and blue and hitting her with an object in the head.
“Consequently she started to convulse and the husband who had then left the house was called back by the neighbours,” sources said.
It was gathered that her situation made them to take her to the hospital, but she died before reaching the destination and was later buried according to Islamic rites.
However, the deceased’s brother reported the circumstances that led to her death to the police culminating in the husband’s arrest.
The latter is said to be in detention at State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti.
