Aliyu Mohammed, husband of Malama Ummulkhair, an Islamiyya school teacher who was lynched and burnt by a mob on a false accusation of child stealing in Maraban Jos, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has recounted her final moments.
Recall that Ummukhair, a mother of four was accused falsely of trying to steal children and consequently lynched to death on Sunday by mob who also attacked the police station where officers tried to rescue her
Emerging reports say the female Islamic teacher was on her way to attend an Islamic lecture when she lost her ways and asked for directions from some children who in turn accused her of attempting to steal them.
In an interview with Daily Trust, her widower expressed his devastation following the loss, saying when he received the distressing news.
“I called a friend and asked him to go there before I arrived. By the time I got there, they had already burnt her,” he told the publication.
