Nobel laureate Prof. Wole Soyinka’s daughter-in-law, Lola Shoneyin, has said that she would like to see several top politicians jailed during President Muhammad Buhari’s government.
Lola who is married to Prof. Soyinka’s first child, Dr. Olaokun Soyinka, a former Ogun State Commissioner for Health, is a writer like her father-in-law and has books and poems to her name among them The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives.
The mother-of-seven was a guest on Straight Talk With Kadaria on Channels Television on Wednesday where she aired her views on many issues describing President Muhammadu Buhari as a tough teacher in response to a question on her view of the incumbent president.
“Our politicians have to be whipped into line, and i hope to see some of them in jail in due course under this government,” Lola Shoneyin who married Dr. Olaokun Soyinka after the latter divorced his former British wife, Barbara Dixon.
