The Minister of State for Transportation, Mrs Gbemisola Saraki, has told of her high regard for Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq amid the demolition of a property her family are in dispute with the state government.
The Sarakis and the Kwara State government are laying claim to properties located at Plots 1, 3 and 5 Ilofa Road, GRA, Ilorin popularly called Ile-Arugbo.
The government’s eventual demolition of the structures on it, has sparked controversy with ex-Senate President Bukola Saraki earlier before the exercise hitting at Gov AbdulRasaq in a statement he released.
His sister, who is a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC with the governor, Senator Gbemi Saraki in a release expressed her displeasure at the action of the government where she gave a hint about her closeness with the governor.
She said: “Furthermore, given how well and how long I have personally known the governor beyond Kwara State, so much so that I have always regarded him as one of my older brothers. Even in the political arena, over the years, we have known each other as political opponents and allies and I have always accorded him the respect which he has not accorded me.”
