The Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, has set the record straight on his coronavirus status.
el-Rufai, who was diagnosed with COVID-19 was rumoured to have been cured of the dreaded virus.

However, the governor dismissed the claim of testing negative on Wednesday via a tweet where he disclosed that he chaired a virtual meeting of the State Executive Council, his first since he came down with the health crisis.
The tweet: “Earlier Wednesday 10am -2pm, I took a few hours during isolation to chair a virtual meeting of the State Executive Council.
“I haven’t been cleared of COVID-19 yet and will personally announce when confirmed negative. Ignore fake news even if you like it.”
