Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has again weighed in on the protracted debate on community policing.
Obasanjo reiterated his view on the lingering issue on Saturday in Bauchi State where he inaugurated projects executed by Governor Bala Mohammed and met with the Emir of Bauchi Rilwanu Adamu.
“The best form of security is community policing because everyone knows his/her neighbours within the community.
“With that, it is very easy to identify the bad eggs,’’ he said in favour of community policing.
The ex-President also made it known that he suffered from partial hearing loss saying it’s same or worse with many Nigerians.
This, he said informed his decision to go into the distribution of hearing aids through his Non-governmental Organisation, Olusegun Obasanjo Foundation.
