Nollywood actress and filmmaker Iyabo Ojo has raised the alarm over what she described as alleged moves by unnamed individuals against her, insisting that she remains strong and will continue to stand her ground.
The actress made the claims in a statement shared on her Instagram page, where she hinted at behind-the-scenes activities, secret meetings and what she called suspicious visits by people she did not name.
Ojo said she was not unaware of the developments around her, adding that she would keep speaking out while trusting the rule of law and due process.
“I’m aware my detractors are plotting. I’m solidly on ground,” the actress wrote.
She further stressed that she would be watching closely to ensure that legal procedures and institutional independence were respected.
According to her, she had noticed what she described as “crooked plans and camouflaged visits”, claiming that conversations happening away from public view had not escaped her attention.
“Our eyes are seeing the crooked plans and camouflaged visits. Our ears are hearing the silent whisperings,” she said.
The actress vowed not to remain silent, promising to continue using her voice to address issues she considers important.
“Our lips won’t cease to speak to the consciousness of the society,” she added.
While addressing her supporters, Ojo expressed confidence that the truth would eventually overcome any false narratives, no matter how long they lasted.
“My beautiful fans and family, irrespective of how far falsehood may travel, the truth shall catch up with it. The truth shall emerge in earnest,” she concluded.
However, the actress did not reveal the identities of those she referred to as detractors or provide specific details about the alleged plans.
