Governor Umar A. Namadi of Jigawa State has suspended the state Commissioner for Special Duties Auwalu Dalladi Sankara who is accused of dating a married woman with two kids, Tasleem Baba Nabegu.
The Kano Hisbah Board had on Friday arrested Sankara after the woman’s husband, Nasiru Bulama, complained to the Shariah police about the adulterous affair, with their love nest said to be an uncompleted building belonging to the Commissioner in Kano.
The embattled Commissioner’s suspension by Jigawa governor was announced via a statement the Secretary to the Government of State ,Malam Bala Ibrahim issued.
It reads in part: “The suspension is a precautionary measure intended to facilitate a fair investigation…
“We take all allegations seriously and are dedicated to upholding the trust of Jigawa citizens in the government.”
