A broadcast journalist, Kola Kuforiji, who has Parkinson’s disease is in serious need of $35,000 (USD) about N57 million at recent exchange rate for medical bill abroad.
Parkinson’s disease is a brain disorder that causes unintended or uncontrollable movements, such as shaking, stiffness, and difficulty with balance and coordination.
According to report, 54-year-old husband and father of two, has been battling the disease for more than two years, with medical treatment he obtained at Ikorodu General Hospital, Lagos, and later LASUTH to no avail.
As it stands, Kola who spent about two decades with Rhythm FM requires $35,000 (USD) about N57 million at recent exchange rate to undergo Deep Brain Stimulation surgery at
Atasehir Medicana International Hospital – Atasehir / Istanbul, Turkey in order to stand a chance of surviving this affliction.
With the health problem long taking a toll on his finances and that of his loved ones, his friends are rallying good samaritans to come to his aid in a quest to raise the said sum.
