A Gombe judge, Ayuba Buba-Dalas, alongside a lawyer, Usman Yahya, and a court staff member were in the list of sufferers of physical abuse on account of a land dispute in Degri-Balanga Local Government Area of the state.
The trio were on Saturday alongside others beaten black and blue by locals in the area.
Ayuba Buba-Dalas, the judge of the Upper Area Court III, and his party were in the area on official duty.
They were said to have gone on an inspection of a land at Locus area of the local government in contention in line with the practice of the court in the state when a mob of locals descended on them in a free-for-all attack.
“Good morning distinguished learned silks, seniors and colleagues. This is to notify the esteemed members of the Jewel Bar that there will be a visit to His Honour, Ayuba Buba-Dalas (UAC III JUDGE), and Usman Yahya Esq., over a sad incident that happened to them yesterday while on a visit to locus at Degri,” a social media post in respect of the issue authored by the Nigerian Bar Association, Gombe State branch, through its Publicity Secretary, Bashir Abdullahi read in part.
