Justice Sylvanus Oriji of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Abuja, who handed down the order that restricted protesters of the just concluded #EndBadGovernance protest to MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, has been exposed.
It was hitherto unknown to the public that Justice Oriji and Federal Capital Territory minister, Nyesom Wike have something in common.
Now, it has been made known by
Former Chairman, Human Rights Commission, Professor Chidi Odinkalu.
The Minister and the judge, who the former Rivers State governor took the matter before his court, according to Odinkalu, hail from the same place, Obi Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The Professor of Practice in International Human Rights Law made this revelation by X where he wrote: “I didn’t really want to be the person saying it but the @fcthighcourt judge who gave the order to kettle #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protesters in the Moshood Abiola Stadium just happened to come from the same village as the Minister of the FCT, the plaintiff. Calculate the odds!”
