The Kaduna State Police Command have launched a manhunt for killer(s) of a National Youth Service Corps member, Grace Chalya Silas.
The latter, a fresh Special Education graduate from University of Jos was observing the one-year mandatory national service in the state.
She was murdered in cold blood during her morning jogging at the Barnawa, in Kaduna South Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday by phone snatchers operating with motorcycles.
“No na. What is really happening to Jossite and the Special Education department? We haven’t finished mourning Kekefas Emmanuel, and now it’s Chalya, brutally killed in Kaduna during her morning jogging while serving her fatherland. May your killers know no peace Chalya. This is too much to bear,” one of the deceased’s friends and coursemates, Comfort Elisha, posted on her Facebook handle.
The Command’s spokesman, ASP Mansir Hassan confirmed the sad incident.
Hassan said the police will smoke out the perpetrators and are on course to bring them to justice.
