Senator Shehu Sani has hinted that the honourary doctorate degree of letters conferred on President Muhammadu Buhari by Kaduna State University in 2015 was fake.

Sani gave this hint in an interview with Punch while criticising Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir el-Rufai.
“Buhari has been to Kaduna for more than 12 times but I challenge you to show me any time that Buhari inaugurated a state project. The first one was when he came to Kaduna and was awarded an honorary doctorate degree by a university that had not started a Ph.D programme – the Kaduna State University.” the Senator representing Kaduna Central who is in a running battle with el-Rufai said.
