A young couple have died in their sleep, arising from a charcoal fume, in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano.
The deceased, Sulaiman Idris and Maimuna Halirru were both in their twenties. While Idris was 28, his equally dead spouse was 20.
The report in general circulation said they were found dead on their matrimonial bed, with their death attributed to suffocation from charcoal fumes.
They were said to have lit charcoals in a quest to keep themselves warm against harmattan while going to bed. However, their action proved tragic as the smokes rendered them lifeless.
