The Kano Deputy Governor, Aminu Gwarzo, said former governor of the state, Abdullahi Ganduje, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, have set out to impose deposed Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero.
Bayero who was deposed by the state government with Mohammed Sanusi II reinstated was out of the state during the process that led to rulership change.
Gwarzo on Saturday morning while speaking with journalists at the Emir’s palace in Kano accused Ganduje and Ribadu of smuggling him into the state.
This, he said, has sparked tension and chaos in the state saying, “It is unfortunate that the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, is using the National Security Adviser to create tension in the state by smuggling into the state, the former emir, Aminu Ado Bayero.
“The appointment and dethronement of Emir or any traditional title holder is solely the prerogative of the state government.”
