One Yusuf Ambi has been withheld by gunmen after taking ransom to his captors for the release of a Pastor with the Evangelical Church Winning All, Pastor Samson Ali, at Mararaba Aboro in Sango Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Pastor Ali(pictured) was abducted from his home in the early hours of April 8, just two weeks after his posting to the church.
In turn, the kidnappers demanded a ransom of N100 million to release the 30-year-old cleric.
While the kidnappers have now released Pastor Ali, they hold on to Ambi, the ransom bearer, who took an undisclosed amount of money to them.
“The kidnappers released Pastor Ali, but detained the ransom bearer, Yusuf Shehu Ambi, demanding more money or other concessions for his release,” a source familiar with the situation said.
