Kiki Mordi, the undercover reporter at the centre of the recent BBC documentary on sex-for-grade in which of particular interest a University of Lagos (Unilag) lecturer, Dr. Boniface Igbeneghu, was caught with his pant down, said she was a victim of sexual harassment in medical school.

Mordi also doubles as a radio presenter. In the sting investigation, she posed as a seventeen years old seeking admission into Unilag, with Dr. Igbeneghu preying on her sexually in the trending video.

The journalist disclosed that she was a victim of sexual harassment and dropped out of medical school as a result.

“I did this story for my 19 year-old self who did not have a voice in the face of sexual harassment.

“It got so bad that I had to choose between enduring that and getting an education. I decided that it wasn’t worth it and then I had to drop out of school. It wasn’t so much of my decision anyway, because for two consecutive semesters, I wasn’t seeing my results. At some point, I felt there was nothing left for me. At this point, I would rather not mention the name of the school, but that’s not to say that I won’t tell my story at some point. I just want it to be in my own time,” she told Vanguard.
