Six persons have been arrested in connection with the gruesome murder of a women leader of Peoples Democratic Party in Kogi, Mrs Salome Abuh, during the state governorship election held on November 18.

Mrs Abuh was macheted and burnt to death at Ochadamu, Ofu Local Government Area of the state by suspected thugs loyal to the incumbent governor, Yahaya Bello, during the feisty poll.

The Police Public Relation Officer in the state, DSP William Aya on Monday said the suspects were brought in on Friday.

Aya said the police had started interrogating the suspects to ascertain their level of culpability in Abuh’s killing.
