Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate in Lagos, Frederick Nwajago, was on Wednesday arraigned for alleged terrorism.

Nwajago is having a run-in with the law for threatening to import proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra members to Lagos to secure properties belonging to Igbos in the wake of the ethnic tension arising from the general election, and incessant fire incidents affecting business premises where people of South-East extraction operate.

The accused was arraigned before the state high court sitting in Tafawa Balewa Square on nine counts by the Lagos State Government.

In the charges, the Igbo Chief was accused of “attempt to do acts of terrorism, participation in terrorism, meeting to support a proscribed entity, attempt to finance an act of terrorism and preparation to commit an act of terrorism.”

Remember that Nwajago was arrested on April 1 at a hotel he hid after a video of him issuing the said threat went viral, and consequently operatives launched a manhunt for him.

The judge adjourned till July 4 for the commencement of the trial.
