Lagos Sweepers Killed by fleeing Driver were Siblings

Report said two female sanitation workers of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) who were on Monday knocked down by a vehicle around the Charlie Boy area inward Gbagada, Lagos State were siblings.

In a bid to escape arrest by officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) who were pursuing him, a fleeing motorist rammed into the siblings with his car.

The duo were at work sweeping the highway when they met their deaths at the hands of the driver and the LASTMA officials.

This medium gathered that the deceased were siblings, residing in Ajenipa Street, Ladi-Lak area, Bariga, and were card-carrying members of the All Progressives Congress in Ward B, Bariga.

It was said that one of them, simply identified as Mrs. Adefuye, celebrated her 60th birthday on Sunday while the other is about 63 years old.

It was further stated that they lost their mother recently with her remains said to be in the mortuary.
