Report has emerged that Oluwaseun Osinbajo, the driver of the ill-fated Lagos State Government staff bus that collided with a moving train at PWD railway crossing last Thursday is hospitalised.

Osinbajo had been accused of recalcitrance by surviving passengers aboard the bus and the railway official.

Allegedly in the process of trying to cross the railway track before the oncoming train passed, the ensuing crash led to six passengers’ deaths while 79 others sustained injuries of various degrees.

The 44-year-old subsequently pushed back at allegation that he was at fault in police detention, and instead claimed the bus has mechanical fault.

The present report is that, it was hitherto unknown that he sustained internal injury and on account, slumped in police custody following which he was rushed to Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yaba.

“He suffered internal bleeding from the accident but did not know. He was rushed to the hospital on Saturday and underwent a surgery same day.

“He was at the Post Surgery Ward between Saturday and Sunday morning but has now been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU),” The Nation quoted an unnamed source as saying.
