A soldier, Lance Corporal Victor Chukwunonso, was on Friday arrested in connection with the activities of notorious kidnap kingpin, Chukwudidumeme Onuamadike, aka Evans.
Chukwunonso, a serving personnel of the Nigerian Army with No: 09/NA/64/6317 was arrested on Friday night at Ojo in Lagos after Evans incriminated him during interrogation.

Reports said the notorious kidnapper had mentioned some security operatives as member of his kidnapping gang, and Chukwunoso’s name came up.
The Lance Corporal is said to be attached to the Nigeria Army Band Corps ,Abatti Barrack in Surulere, Lagos.
It was gathered that Chukwunonso who is presently in police custody has confessed to the crime saying he was only involved in three kidnap operation the gang carried out at Festac area and got a total of N6.5m from it all.
He added that he was given N3m from the first operation, N2m from the second and the third fetched him N1.5m.
