A man simply identified as Kelechi was attacked after a generator repairer, Toheeb Quadri, was found dead in his residential building near his generator set.
The incident happened at Atoyo area in Sagamu in Ogun State on Sunday.
Report said the family of the deceased were disturbed by his whereabouts that was unknown, and during a search for him, the 24-year-old was found dead in the building belonging to Kelechi close to the latter’s generator set.
The discovery threw them in mourning mood. They and sympathisers, however, got irritated after Kelechi feigned ignorance of the incident, and almost lynched him.
Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident adding that the body of the deceased had been deposited for autopsy while the suspect is in detention at the Homicide Section at the command’s headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
