Widow of late Kazeem Lawal, a staff of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority(LASTMA), who collapsed and died two Saturdays ago while on duty at the Idi-Araba area of Lagos, has said that her late husband had planned to give his bereaved family a treat on the occasion of the first birthday of his last child scheduled for Wednesday, July 22.
The widow, Gbekele Lawal(pictured with her last born) in an interview she granted punchng.com at the Lawals’ one-room rented apartment in Ebute-Metta said that her late husband had planned to snap a family picture to mark the birthday of their fourth born on Wednesday.
According to the mother-of-four, “He said we would take a family photograph and glaze it, but that can’t happen again. He even promised to reward two of his children that have been observing the Ramadan fast by buying clothes for them, but now he’s no more.”
Gbekele also said that she married the deceased about 16 years ago on Valentine’s day, and that if not for death, he would have clocked 40 years old by December.
