The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has provided evidence suggesting that the Director General of Department of State Security (DSS), Lawal Daura has strong link with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Following the demand of the APC that the PDP should substantiate the allegation that Lawal Daura is a member of the ruling party and was so not fit to occupy such sensitive position as the DG of DSS, which occupant is expected to be apolitical, the opposition party rolled out some documents to back up their claims. 
The acting national chairman of the party, Uche Secondus on Thursday at a news conference presented an apparent old newspaper advertisement, which listed one Lawal Daura as a member of the APC Security Directorate and one photograph, which looked like the image of Daura, in a handshake with Buhari.
The captions of the pictures suggested that Buhari, then president-elect, was being congratulated by Daura on his election.
The PDP provided another photograph which it said was a group picture of members of the APC Security Directorate flanking Buhari, but there was no indication of when the picture was taken.
