A female driving apprentice has killed three road users in Ogun State while behind the wheels.
The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday on the Oru Ijebu-Igbo Road.
Report said the learner hit the road in a Toyota Camry occupied by her husband in the front seat and her child at the back.
It was stated that the husband was the instructor while a tricycle overloaded with six persons was coming from the opposite direction when the crash occurred between both.
“The learner had left her lane appropriating that of the approaching tricycle and from indication the husband told her to press the break but erroneously hit the accelerator ramming into the tricycle with three including the driver meeting their deaths as a result.
“The three other occupants of the tricycle sustained various degrees of injuries,” eyewitness narrated.
Further account of the crash said, on seeing the damage occasioned by their imprudence bordering on learning driving on highway, the couple fled with their child with angry mob vandalising their car and setting it ablaze.
