The disgraced ex-lecturer in the Faculty of Science, Lagos State University (LASU) Dr. Ogunwande Isiaka Ajani has dragged the institution to the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) over his sack after he was found guilty as charged.
Ajani is challenging his dismissal from the university over allegations of sexual harassment levelled against him by a female student, Miss Yusuf Abosede.
Miss Yusuf had reported Ajani to the authorities accusing him of pestering her with sex, a proposal she found distasteful.
Upon investigation, the institution struck off the accused from its employ, a decision, the disgraced lecturer is now contesting in the suit filed through his counsel, Akinyemi Oladipo where he claimed he was not afforded fair hearing.
In it, the claimant joined the Governing Council Lagos State University, the Vice-Chancellor, the Registrar and the Chairman Joint Council/Senate (Academic) Disciplinary Committee Lagos State University as co-defendants.
