A lesson teacher simply identified as Michael has been accused of raping his student in Ketu area of Lagos State.
Punchng reports that the alleged rape happened when the unnamed student arrived the tutorial class from her school before her colleagues’ arrival.
Citing the victim’s mother, Mrs Zainab Musa, Michael, allegedly had carnal knowledge of the victim and threatened to kill her if she told her parents.
The account said the teenager, however told the school authorities who in turn informed her parents leading to Michael’s arrest.
According to the report, Mrs Musa is accusing the police of trying to hush up the matter, alleging that the police are pestering the family to accept N200,000 offered by Michael so as not to allow the law to run its course.
“It was last Thursday that the police kept calling me, telling me I should collect money and that we should bury the matter,” the victim’s mother told the publication.
