Parents of Liverpool’s Colombian winger Luis Diaz were kidnapped with his mother rescued on Saturday.
Colombian President Gustavo Petro in a tweet on Saturday said that a search remains on for his father whose wife was rescued in Barrancas in the northern part of the country.
Report has it that Luis Manuel Diaz and Cilenis Marulanda were at a service station in the La Guajira area when armed men on motorbikes took them.
The 26-year-old Liverpool winger has played 43 times for Colombia.
