A young man who was dismissed in the army for raping his boss’s wife while in service has been arrested for armed robbery in Kaduna.
Kaduna State Police Command paraded the suspect, Babangida Ibrahim (not the soldier pictured), a 27-year-old man.
Babangida, in company with one Umar Musa, were into snatching vehicles at gunpoint, with seven exotic vehicles recovered from them.
Babangida, who served in the Army for six years, confessed that he was dismissed from the army for raping the wife of his boss.
“I faced a court martial and was sent packing from the Army,” he had said.
Babangida also confessed that his mother gave him hypnotic charms which he used on unsuspecting members of the public to fall asleep. He also confessed to have used it on drivers and commercial motorcyclists when dispossessing them of their belongings.
“I deprive them of their properties while they are fast asleep,” he said.
Babangida said after his dismissal, he organised a car-snatching syndicate and was having successful operations before the police threw a spanner into its work.
