A man jumped to his death from the Third Mainland Bridge on Thursday after insisting that the driver of the commercial bus he boarded should pull over for him to alight.
The incident, which happened around 9.00am caused heavy traffic as motorists pulled over at the scene to have a look.
Eyewitnesses said as soon as the bus driver parked, the deceased who was identified as Okechukwu Ezeigbo hurriedly undressed and plunged into the river leaving other passengers in utter shock.
After an extensive search by fishermen Okechukwu’s body was found around noon.
It was gathered that the deceased who hailed from Imo State had mental problem, and was receiving treatment at a church along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway where he sneaked out.
