A middle aged man was electrocuted (pictured) early this morning while attempting to steal from a power transformer.
The unidentified man suspected to be a northerner was seen alongside another unidentified loitering around Lonlo area of iju-Ishaga, a Lagos outskirts at about 4:30am according to eyewitness.
Not long after power was returned to the area followed by a loud noise the man was later seen burnt beyond recognition with his head to his midriff in the transformer.
An Ikeja Power Distributing official who craved anonymity said it was their practice to take load off the transformers in the area, a practice they called ‘Load shedding’, adding that “the man must have believed that we would wait till late dawn before we returned load to that transformer but he is not our boss who gives us signal” he mused.
