A 40-year-old man, Abdulhamid Abass is being investigated in Jigawa State for allegedly impregnating a mentally-ill 16-year-old girl.
Operatives of Jigawa State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC arrested the suspect following allegation that he was responsible for the teenager’s pregnancy after she gave birth to twins in her parents’ house.
The Commandant of the agency in the state, Gidado Muhammad, told newsmen over the weekend that case was currently under investigation, adding the accused person would, thereafter be arraigned for prosecution.
