A 49-year-old man, Lawrence Itape, has killed his wife, Rebecca, 47, for not giving him water.
The incident occurred around 11:30pm on Tuesday at Seaside Estate, Badore, Ajah.
Report said, leading up to the killing, Lawrence asked Rebecca to get him water. The nature of his request, whether water to bath or drink is not in public domain.
In any case and for whatever reason, the wife didn’t come up with the demand to the annoyance of the husband.
The ensuing argument was said to have degenerated to the point that Lawrence fetched the kitchen-knife to stab the victim in the neck causing her death.
Her screams reportedly attracted neighbours, who in turn invited the police and got the killer husband arrested.
